PhotoHunt: Different


These pictures were taken in Davao, Philippines
February 24, 2008

During our visit to Eden Nature Park, we saw this very different plant. The locals call it the Mickey Mouse plant. Did some research and this plant is actually the Solanum mammosum, more commonly known as nipplefruit or Cow's udder because of it's shape. Don't be deceived by this cute fruit though, it's actually poisonous :)

The Chinese call them lantern bulbs or something. Normally seen as decorations during the lunar new year :)

Definitely very interesting. I'd say it looks more like a cow's udder than Mickey Mouse tho.
