Pay It Forward

You may all be familiar with this movie. When something good is done to you by others, you don't pay it back, you pay it forward...

We have been through tough times before but thank God there are always good people who lend a helping hand. And although we have had our share of bad luck God has still been good to us. The good outweighs the bad ika nga. As a part of “paying it forward”, I heeded the call of a former org mate in college. They have this foundation which offers scholarships programs to deserving but financially challenged kids. I agreed to sponsor a girl in grade school and pledged to support her until she finishes high school, and maybe even until college if we see that she is really determined to finish college. Education is a valuable thing, I realize that now. :) We haven’t personally met her but we will definitely try to meet up with her maybe this December.

Anyone interested, I’m posting the solicitation letter they sent me before here. If you have some extra money to spare, I’m sure they would appreciate it very much. :) Any inquiries, you can also email Nette at npauig@yahoo.com.

    Dear Sir/ Madam:
    Greetings!

We are volunteers of ACT Now for Kids, a non-profit socio-civic organization composed of young women professionals that aims to augment the education of less privileged children. Free services provided to the kids are academic tutorials and catechism classes to help them develop their potentiality. Now on this 5th year of service, our group remains steadfast in extending its services to the children of Makati, Manila, Bicutan and Pasay. As of today, there are more than 300 kids ranging from 4-15 years old benefiting from our classes.

We are launching a new project this year to help the children have a better future. This is a Scholarship Program to deserving and selected students.

We would like to seek your assistance to make this project a reality. There are many kids just waiting for a small push to have a better life. Below is the concept paper that you can read through in order to know more about this project.

For further details you may get in touch with us at telephone no. (0917) 821-1945 c/ Nette. You can also course your donation to our Finance Officer’s account Sharol Morte ChinaBank Head Office Savings Account No. 1033374511.Likewise, we invite you to visit us at our sites and share the big smile in every kid’s heart!

Thank you and we hope our request will merit your valued support for this undertaking.

    Respectfully yours,

    SHAROL MORTE
